Developers rerate dramatically as they get closer to production. This is historically a very risky sector.

What I mean is that when Fredonia presents its PEA, expected this summer, it's very likely that the figures will be very similar to Newcore's. Fredonia's valuation is almost seven times lower than Newcore's. There are many variables that don't appear in the PEA and that affect a company's valuation, but this example helps me understand what could happen with Fredonia if the PEA is ultimately as we expect (*5?, *6?, *7?). It's very likely that even Newcore is undervalued at these prices, but I'm not analyzing that right now.

Not everything is doom and gloom in the PM sector today. $NCAU.v released an updated MRE. The new numbers: 1,502,000 ounces of gold indicated and 626.000 ounces of gold inferred = total of 2,128,000 ounces. The previous MRE showed a total of 1,715,500 ounces with 743,500 ounces indicated and 972,000 ounces inferred. The new MRE is a nice improvement in overall ounces as well as in quality (more ounces in the indicated category). Important to note that only 28,000 meters of 2024/2025 drilling were incorporated into the new MRE. The rest of the ongoing 60,000 meter drill campaign will eventually lead to a larger resource. Also noteworthy that all deposits are still open along strike and at depth, which means lots of further resource growth potential. PFS is scheduled for end of June.

Yes, I agree with everything you've said. Newcore is more advanced, and I also think its valuation is entirely fair, but at the same time, it makes me think that if Fredonia's PEA is as we believe (similar to Newcore's), the undervaluation is significant. I think Newcore helps us understand Fredonia's potential market cap (assuming there are differences and they aren't 100% comparable).

@losmurfdog You forgot: Barrick production will be -10% in 2026 and AISC + 200/ounce and oil is going to spike AISC another 40% higher.

God forbid we will see a correction in gold now. In the past, these drawdowns led to a -10% to -20% correction in gold. So target could be $4000.
