District court judge Joanne Jannik is overseeing Holloway’s case at the moment and is the one who granted his motion to leave the state. There are two district court judges in Tuscaloosa county, and my understanding is cases are assigned alphabetically. She also oversaw the initial part of the case for Darius Miles (denying him bond) before it went to *circuit court* where it has spent the majority of the last three years. Judge Daniel Pruet has been over the Miles case ever since. If the Holloway case gets elevated to circuit court, judge Corey Seale is currently assigned to his possession of marijuana charge, but that can change.

The judge who granted the motion was the same judge who presided over the disaster of the Brandon Miller/Darrius Myles case btw! Alabama might be the most corrupt state on the planet 😂

This is a SCANDAL; the Trump admin is deliberately consolidating all deportation cases of an ethnic minority that the President has called "garbage" in front of a handpicked group of judges and with dramatically accelerated timelines. A lawsuit was filed yesterday to stop it.

From this article: "State law requires Armstrong to sign an affidavit pledging not run for the seat in November, limiting his tenure in the Senate." My initial reaction is that such a requirement is probably not enforceable under U.S. Term Limits v. Thornton (1995), which held that a state law cannot add qualification requirements for members of Congress beyond those listed in the Constitution.

Q: Why has the Leon County Health Department been silent? Dr Saff: It's a good question but I don't have an answer. Proctor: The DoH has "written off" many health issues. He said they work with blinders on, only on certain issues.
