@ZooL_Smith Too much detail is overwhelming. Games aren’t meant to be photorealistic, like you say you need to be able to parse the world for the key objects and logic of the environments. Sony exclusives like horizon and ghost of tsushima seem to be the worst for this, too many effects

Has to just be me getting old, I swear in every modern "realistic" game I can't see shit.
Can't see enemies, can't see geometry properly, I can't see the flow of the level, all I'm seeing is noise, detail and random pixels everywhere.
But somehow older games are fine??
