Another wonderful time at the @byrchall Founder's Evening at @haydockraces. It was great to watch our excellent students performing and receiving their awards, including several from my form. It's impossible to come away without a smile on your face and an immense sense of pride.

Today the team are celebrating Mr Rafael Guerreros career as a congenital surgeon @AlderHey and @LHCHFT and his contributions to #CHD care across the @NwchdN. Thankfully it’s not goodbye as he takes the lead in taking Alder Hey global 🌎

@johngriffinuk I remember we were doing the triple jump. "Paddy, if you shout about Jonathan Edwards one more time you're going in." ..."And here comes Jonathan Edw-" "PADDY! IN! NOW!" 😁 I loved school - the teachers made it look like such a rewarding job that quite a few of my year teach now.

It all started here for me, when my little girl inspected one of the many @chocoranges Chris dropped off at @AlderHeyCharity when we were staying with @HeartCentreAld1 - I knew the @byrchall community could contribute to this great cause and we've gone from strength to strength!

Thank you Mr Yardley and DunnHumby for the amazingly generous donation of 120 @chocoranges to the @byrchall collection today. We're very close to topping last year's record of 370 with a couple of weeks left to go too!

As the father of an ICU and Ward 1C @HeartCentreAld1 veteran, I can't wait to donate to this. What a brilliant example of treating not only the symptoms but also the child @AlderHeyCharity
