Sitting here waiting at @ServiceOntario, I swear, for 7 out of 10 tickets called nobody goes up, 2 tickets have to be called two or three times, and only 1 goes up right away at the first call.

@madebygoogle Gemini has been a complete an utter failure when replacing Google Assistant on the Google Home Mini and on the Nest Mini. It hardly ever recognizes my voice even in a quiet environment when I'm standing in front of the mini. The old Assistant was far more accurate!!

@AjarCreate @TheAngryBadger3 @nerd_cookies The internet existed back then. Somebody already mentioned the Usenet newsgroup alt.startrek.wesley.die.die.die and there was plenty of harshly negative discussion on rec.arts.startrek.* as well. Not to mention IRC, MUDs/MUSHs/MUCKs, mailing lists, etc…

Quick question for Trek fans who were around at the time: When TNG first came out and wasn’t well received, did the cast and crew openly complain about the audience reaction, or did they just take it on the chin and get on with their work?

Catching up on#Foundation. I expected that the Mule wasn't the Mule, but to make Bayta be the real one? Fuck no. They really bastardized this, & Isaac Asimov is probably turning over in his grave fast enough to be used as an electrical generator. Let this be a double fake-out.
