Two things - 1. Jonathan won’t be contesting and I would wonder what they have on him to pressure him into doing that, so I will treat this news as unverified for now. 2. If he happens to contest, he will not be a threat to PO. There won’t be many people who will drop voting Obi for Jonathan. Our common problem is how to ensure that rigging of all forms, do not hold.

It only deepens dependency. The country you are running to for salvation is a superpower because you depend on it. This morning, in Lagos, I met with the U.S. Consul General, Mr Rick Swart, where we discussed strengthening the bilateral relationship. We focused on promoting credible elections in Nigeria, ensuring they are free from interference, and fostering a space where all political parties, especially opposition parties can thrive, and contribute. We also discussed trade and business opportunities between our countries. Accompanying me to the meeting was Dr Adefolaseye Adebomi Adebayo. Honestly I don’t see anything wrong with VDM investing 100M naira of the NGO money into the Nigeria Treasury Bill. I mean that’s the surest and safest way to have the funds generate money for expenses while the main money stays intact. The investment could net as much as 10M naira after tax annually. Honestly that’s a wise move for a charity organization that has expenses to make.
