@DarrigoMelanie I agree that all US retail (not just Walmart specifically) should be paying their workers well. They work hard. The ones that don’t are let go. US Labor Dept needs to get rid of this “part time worker” category. That would add the benefits back in and remove need for Medicaid.

Walmart just reported $5.33 billion in profits for Q1. The average Walmart worker is paid less than a living wage, forcing them to rely on taxpayer-funded government assistance. Walmart's profits are our tax dollars subsidizing their poverty wages.

I want to be honest about what our current health care system asks of people. It asks you to navigate a system designed to confuse you. To fight denials while you are sick. To choose between your mortgage and your medication. To ration care you need because you cannot absorb the cost of getting it. No one should have to do any of that. Medicare for All ends all of it. Washington Republicans are trying to make it harder for you to vote. Not non-citizens — you. The SAVE Act would prevent millions of Americans from exercising their constitutional right to vote.
