My students have enjoyed jigsaws and games for regulation breaks, but still keeping them on topic. For example I had an usborne one on atoms and elements set up for a few days.

@DrBearScience I teach secondary science but have a Y3 child. From what I’ve seen her science seems very recall/short fact based with little explanation but lots of engagement/curiosity.

Sadly this platform may have run its course for me. Very little in the way of pleasant interactions or new interesting posts to read lately. Rude ads and an incessant, entrenched argument cycle on repeat, over teaching methods or stationery ☹️
