@greeborunner I think the lasting effect of me having to wake around 6am as a child, is that now I'm the only early bird in the house and get to enjoy quiet mornings though school holidays!!!

I've just seen someone describe getting a school-aged child up 'early' (in time for school) as trauma. Can we just stop this now, please?

This isn't true. Educators (*teachers?) are entitled to a break. Take a break. Have lunch in the staffroom. You don't *need* to be "on" all the time, and if your school is demanding that then you should take action. It shouldn't be normal and isn't acceptable.

@greeborunner @bentleykarl My handwriting is awful on digital screens, I'm still not good on the screen I have in my classroom now compared to the whiteboard I had. I gave up with my kindle scribe because of it.

@bentleykarl Which is quite diff again. I have a Remarkable which has more of a paper feel to it. Writing on a tablet is slow & the pen slips making my writing harder to read & slower. The writing to type recognition is also poor then. I'm an adult with competent writing skills already. . .

Eventually some folk will discover that you can handwrite on an ipad or tablet. 🤣

We celebrated Thanksgiving today with a lovely meal alongside food and clothing bank donations. Huge effort from our staff & pupils. We ended the day with staff PRIDE awards which pupils voted for. Lovely to hear the positive comments about our staff 🥰 #thisisap
