There's an interesting game playing out right now in the $BIO Genesis Auction 👀 BIO is a new protocol that uses DeFi dynamics & real-world IP to grow an ecosystem of living, adaptive scientific networks. BIO Genesis is a token generation event with a twist: you can only use DeSci tokens to get BIO. $VITA, $RSC, $NEURON, $GROW & more 🧪 8 DeSci tokens are eligible, creating 8 concurrent fair-launch auctions. A little more than 24h since Genesis went live, $3.17m of the $5.5m goal has been reached! Where things get interesting... Each eligible DeSci token has a fixed amount of BIO allocated to it, limiting the amount of that token that can be swapped for BIO. Once the max amount is filled, the auction for that token is closed and the price of BIO per DeSci token is settled. If the cap for a given token auction is not filled by the deadline (Aug 19), then the protocol will distribute all the BIO allocated to that token to users who swapped with that token. Meaning, if token A is only half filled at the end of Genesis, then each user who swapped with token A gets 2X the amount of BIO they would get compared to if token A was entirely filled. This means to get the most BIO for your DeSci token, contribute to the least-filled auction. But if you wait too long, and the auction is totally filled, you’ll have to wait for future Genesis rounds. Four rounds are planned in total, each starting from a different BIO valuation. So pull out your pencils and may the best DeSci degens win!
