New research by Chicago Booth’s @rkoijen and @blynch41 suggests that AI can help us better understand why stock prices move the way that they do. Today they’re launching a competition, sponsored by the trading firm @OptiverGlobal, and are inviting anyone to submit their own AI model that—as in Koijen and Levy’s research—predicts how prices respond to earnings-call information.
