Particularly Dangerous Situation Red Flag Warning conditions late Monday into Tuesday for the Santa Ana wind corridor of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. This event has the potential to be as strong as the November 5th-6th Santa Ana event that led to the Mountain Fire.

A significant fire weather event will unfold Thu-Sat across portions of CA. This is a classic autumn setup, w/"inside slider" low pressure system generating strong, gusty, & dry northerly wind. Temps will not be warm, but vegetation remains very dry following record heat. #CAfire

The #ParkFire in Butte County + Tehama County was mapped at ~45,549 acres around 3am this morning. The fire has crossed over Deer Creek to the north by about 135 acres at time of that mapping. All updates, evacs for both counties > share.watchduty.org/i/27638

Not making light of fires this year, but two, the Bogus and the Dinosaur Fires, probably take the name prize this summer. Unfortunately, the year is young.

@Kristen48735314 Give me some examples if you can so I can look into them if possible. Not everything makes it to WD if its false alarms, out by locals etc.

@CAFireScanner The delay is worrisome because since WD launched we have heavily promoted it. In wide usage now (good) but often see posts "it's not on WD" (bad cuz they then don't believe there's a fire). People are linear.

Muscat Fire-Crawford & Muscat, 140 acres, 80% contained. MAL Fire-Malvern & Shaw, 1 acre, fire contained. Bolt Fire-Palomino & Elwood Rd, Wonder Valley area, 120 acres, 0% contained.
