@PunkPainWarrior 18 at first diagnosis, but it was fairly mild until 25. Then it felt like one thing after another spiraling, multiple surgeries, etc. I almost died of sepsis at 26. And it was that experience that made me say, oh wow this is my life now.

@CANeale @MayorBowser That's the biggest issue that hurts my heart - I am very tech savvy and I couldn't get through. I cannot imagine the experience for those who are low-vision and blind visitors. Unacceptable.

@_DCHealth Stop blaming it on high traffic when you didn't fix the backend. I tried for an hour, got through only to be told I am not 65. I have multiple chronic illnesses, am on immunosuppressants & have been waiting patiently for DC to finally help the disability community. Do better!

Today's vote does not absolve the ex-president of his crimes. The Senate's failure to convict Trump will live in infamy as will the Jan. 6th attack on the Capitol. Donald Trump is guilty. All of us know it and we will never forget.

A man died from COVID in a Houston jail cell last week because he couldn't afford the $100 bail. He died for the crime of being poor, awaiting trial for the alleged crime of stealing food. His name was Preston Chaney. Mass incarceration is a public health crisis.
