Nahed with CARE Palestine fled her home in Gaza City with her family in October 2023. They were among the nearly 1.9 million people forced to flee, enduring life in makeshift tents, fleeing over and over. After the ceasefire, Nahed returned to find her home reduced to rubble.

We welcome the ceasefire extension in Lebanon but stress that only a permanent ceasefire can end the destruction, suffering & loss of life. CARE also calls for increased humanitarian aid to address the immense needs, with damages estimated at over $7BN. care-international.org/news/care-welc…

Yesterday, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, #RWAMREC, through the #GEWEP project in partnership with @careinrwanda and the @RuhangoDistrict, hosted a reflection meeting with opinion leaders, religious leaders, community activists, and Men Engage club representatives from 8 sectors of Ruhango. As the world marks #16DaysOfActivism, participants emphasized their roles in preventing #GBV and discussed sustainable ways to uphold the project’s achievements beyond its closeout.
