Very few mental health interventions actually measure quality of life changes experienced by autistic adults.

Healthcare workers from all across the country joined Memorial Tree ceremonies yesterday to pay their respects to colleagues and loved ones who have died by suicide.
NHS organisations, including hospitals and a GP practice, planted trees in memory of their colleagues to mark our National Suicide Memorial Day for Health and Care Workers.
Together with @nhs_prachealth we want the day to be an annual date dedicated to remembering healthcare workers who have taken their own lives.
Tree planting ceremonies took place at the Glenfield Hospital, Leicester, The Christie Foundation in Manchester, and Salford Royal hospital.
Other hospitals, which already have memorial trees also held ceremonies, including Fairfield in Bury, Watford General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary also held ceremonies to mark the day.
If you would like a memorial tree at your hospital, please email us at contact@doctors-in-distress.org.uk

Is youth #mentalhealth really worse today than it was decades ago?
Prof. Emily Simonoff spoke to @newscientist following the publication of a new Lancet Commission finding young people’s mental health “has entered a dangerous phase”.

Fantastic study by Neville et al. on the vital role of alone-time for Autistic adults! It highlights how solitude helps us manage social and sensory overwhelm and recharge for better well-being. liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/au… @arcap_aus

Pleased to share a new preprint reporting community involvement in autism research. In Jan 2021, @journalautism introduced mandatory reporting of community involvement. Our team of autistic and non-autistic researchers evaluated the impact of this policy.

This is disastrous, hideous news. NHS England are hacking back the mental health support for hospital staff. One doctor takes their life every three weeks. One nurse takes their life every single week. These numbers will now INCREASE. @VictoriaAtkins - please do the right thing.

Shocked and appalled does not even cover what I feel reading this announcement from @UKCP_Updates that it is withdrawing from the memorandum of understanding on conversion therapy.
We need a vote of no confidence in UKCP Chair @DrBuckland & the Trustees now.
