This is the right decision. Series is over. No reason to risk injury that impacts next season and the remainder of Kevin Durant's career. The only question is whether that'll still be in Houston.

Houston's Kevin Durant is expected to miss Game 4 against the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN. Durant has a bone bruise in his sprained ankle, which would sideline him 2 to 3 weeks in season. He's had around-the-clock treatment to play but has not been cleared by doctors.

Just in: Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has sustained a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee and is expected to miss multiple weeks, sources tell ESPN. Results showed Edwards avoided any ligament damage, but he will now miss time.

@FantasyKash Wasn't meant on a knock of Lawrence the player. Dude is clearly a stud when he's right.
From a roster construction angle - if you can land a strong starter at 10, I'm taking him over massively paying for what's likely the last couple good years of Lawrence in a heartbeat.

"We don't like anyone who will be there at 10" is a copout.
Plenty of players will be there at 10 who hold more value than an age-29-season DL who fell off in '25 and now has you over the barrel for a market-setting third contract.

Regardless of how you feel about how Dex is going about this situation, his former teammates leaving and finding success elsewhere does impact this situation

The #Giants’ situation with All-Pro DT Dexter Lawrence is not in a good place and has not been for a while. While money is a big part of it, another element is that Lawrence has seen many players leave the organization over the years. He’s stayed quiet, been a good soldier, and tried to be a team guy. So when it became clear last year that he had outplayed his contract and it was time for a new deal, the organization not taking it so seriously felt like a slap in the face. That has continued this offseason. In the words of one source: “He understands what those players who were shown the door by the Giants felt.”

Not good! Dex loses 2 of his best friends from the team, they go on to win Super Bowls and get paid. Dex in 2023 is the 3rd highest paid DT in the league, now he’s the 12th and has $0 guaranteed money left in his final two years. Find a way to make it work IF Dex wants to be here
