As a proud supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I agree that the abduction of these innocent UTME candidates in Benue is heartbreaking and totally unacceptable. No young Nigerian should face terror while trying to write exams. Every life matters. However, let’s be honest: turning this into another attack on leadership won’t solve the problem. President Tinubu has shown bold leadership in tackling insecurity head-on — from reforming the security architecture to empowering our forces with better equipment and intelligence. The results are gradually showing in many areas, even if the challenges remain huge. Unlike those who only criticize and promise “a New Nigeria” without practical solutions, Tinubu is the man with the experience, vision, and courage to fix Nigeria. In 2027, we need continuity of this decisive leadership, not romantic slogans. He remains the best man for Nigeria in 2027 to secure our future, protect our youth, and build the prosperous nation we all desire. We stand with the government and security agencies to ensure these children are rescued quickly and the perpetrators are brought to justice. Enough of the politics of division, let’s support real governance. #Tinubu2027 #RenewedHope

The news of the abduction of innocent UTME candidates in Benue State is not just heartbreaking but a damning indictment of the failure of leadership and the collapse of security in our nation. Young Nigerians striving for an education are being met with terror. In a country where the share of tertiary graduates is already painfully low (about 1%) which is far below peers like Indonesia (about 13%) and South Africa (around 10%). This is unacceptable. We cannot afford to lose even one more student to violence. Those entrusted with protecting these young students appear increasingly preoccupied with the next election, projecting strength and power to rig elections, rather than deploying that same power and agencies to secure our roads, prevent these crimes, and rescue the abducted children who should not be in the hands of criminals but in examination halls. This is no longer an isolated tragedy. It is a pattern. It is a national crisis. And it demands urgent, decisive, and responsible action, not excuses, not silence, but leadership that matches the scale of the emergency this deserves. A nation that abandons its youth abandons its future. This cannot continue. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Incidents like this will shatter your entire theology especially if you have been raised with theology of convenience. It will take a serious understanding of the person and character of God not to do away with religion if this happens to your loved ones. Father, I pray for your light to shine in the hearts of their families, I pray they are comforted in all their afflictions and that you cause this great tragedy to work out for their eventual good. Amen!

Hi Dr Ola, Looking for a female doctor who does that? You’ve found her, feel free to ask about me 😉 back-to-back shifts: 8–5, then 5:30pm till 8am. That doctor always quick to pick up an extra shift on the locum page? Yes, that’s me. It got to a point I was fully booked, I was even giving out locum slots. And no, I wasn’t surviving on takeout. I love a good meal made by my own hands. three square meals, still intact. Somewhere in between all that? I attend fashion school… and still study for my exams. No one’s competing with you on locums, this is simply to let you know that your assumptions don’t hold. If anything, it seems those locum slots you have are “reserved” for men like you who think women are too busy enjoying life… demurely 😌 Balance, discipline, and a little bit of magic ✨ Have a lovely weekend 🤍

I have this friend who has been abroad for over 5 years now, and she still hasn’t found a man. One day we were talking, and I asked her why. She said, ”Everyone here is busy. Like seriously busy. Everybody is chasing targets, working, building something, nobody has time.” I was quiet for a moment because, what kind of explanation is that? 😅 No colleagues? No friends of friends? Nobody at all? Then she said, I’m even considering coming back home, maybe I’ll have better luck there. I just laughed. But still, I’m here wondering, is it really that there are no men? or just that the kind she wants is not easy to find? Because 5 years no be beans o

"The one thing I miss about Nigeria is that every day you dress up, even if you don't look that stylish. But as long as you dress up and you go outside, you will see a lot of men admiring you. You'll see a lot of men saying, hello, fine girl, how are you? You'll still see a lot of men that ask you out. Or you see men that will come and try to collect your number. But here in this, In this country, I find myself no man is going to see you on the road and say, hello, how are you? You look good. Or ask you out on the road. You just go to work, come back, nobody is going to say, hi, how are you? I mean, men admiring you and trying to want to date you or something like that. It doesn't happen here. It makes me feel bad sometime. Just look at me this morning, looking good...." Also, the myth that white people benevolently "ended" slavery should die in 2026. There were literally HUNDREDS of slave rebellions and anti-European wars and uprisings across Africa and the New World, to the point where it became physically dangerous to be a slave owner, and white people in slave societies lived in a constant state of terror. Enslaved Africans made the entire business of slavery so dangerous and expensive that the owners of capital began exploring more efficient alternatives provided by new technology, a lot of which was built off the uncredited inventions and genius of enslaved people. This messy, uneven process is what is now called the Industrial Revolution. The idea that there was ever a time when Africans were so passive and pathetic that despite being farmed and traded like animals against their will, some benevolent oyibo "ended" slavery on their behalf, is one of the biggest and most egregious lies ever told. Jean-Jacques Dessalines didn't die making Haiti the world's first postcolonial black republic so that someone could credit his lifetime of military struggle to white people's alleged "benevolence". Let this horrible myth die already.
Biggest Mack@Big_Mck

“How about white people receive gratitude for ending a problem they created.” And the usual suspect okays it. His job on this app is scavenging for white supremacy talking points to amplify. It doesn’t matter if you have 2 followers, he will take break from his ‘busy’ schedule of running 10 million companies and find you. Mind you, they never really ended slavery. They just ended the old format because they perfected a new one. The religion they came with still enslaves people till date. You can tell by how the victims of their indoctrination have no mind of their own. The extraction mechanism they created still enslaves people till date. You can tell by how Africans still beg for visa to go slave away in their societies, as an effect of their destabilization of our continent. The capitalist system they created still enslaves people still date. You can tell about how people are under-compensated for (forced) labour so that billionaires like him can make profits. This list goes on. Very wicked people.

@abotiwine Victim shaming is a concept where victims are blamed for contributing to their misfortune. It's a dubious tactic deployed to deviate attention from the main issue. Your argument falls flat as buyer-seller market has never been in "equilibrium" nor a level playing Field.

💯 I think we take for granted how complicit some of our own were in perpetuating slavery. It’s hard to condemn buyers in isolation when the system itself functioned as a seller–buyer market.
Manasseh Azure Awuni@Manasseh_Azure

After impressively tabling and securing a UN Resolution declaring the transatlantic slave trade as the gravest crime against humanity, Ghana must show a good example, like Benin, by officially apologising for being an accomplice in capturing and selling slaves to the Europeans.

Good news: South East Maths Olympiad winners Egejurum Onyedikachi, Onwubiko Chimdiebube and Don-Anele Munachimso have now been invited to participate in International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale happening in Rome from July 2nd - 8th. They will be competing with students from 153 countries. I'm confident that they will bring back the Gold medals from each category. We will shine in he world stage. Their teachers will be going alongside them too. The cost of this trip for all of them including registrations, flights, tours, hotels etc will be £32,200. What should we do?

“I had obtained and filled the INEC form to go to the Senate, then I realised that I have a Governorship candidate, Mr Babatunde Fashola, and Obasanjo was the President, determined to win Lagos state. "I told myself, 'if I go ahead, I will strive to win my seat while leaving Fashola to his fate'. Then one morning, I called Ganiyu Solomon and told him to follow me to Abuja, we landed, and off we went to the INEC office, withdrew my form, and handed him another form. Ganiyu was shocked, he asked me for what sir, I said fill the form, he did and that was how I was able to concentrate in the Governorship election, Fashola won and Gani also won his seat. We must make sacrifices......"President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

I have a feeling that while the West obsesses over immigration and culture wars, that China will quietly do something impressive - that will shake the West to its core. Marco Rubio's speech didn't reveal confidence, it revealed a West unwilling and unable to come to terms that it cannot be as powerful in the future, as it was in the past.
