Why did Massie lose tonight? Massie went from principled libertarian during COVID, to GOP leadership lapdog under McCarthy, to anti-Trump Epstein obsessive in 2025 after tweeting about that issue a whopping three (3) times in the decade prior. The nail in the coffin for him was voting against OBBB in 2025 because, according to Massie, it did too much to secure the border. Trump mercilessly trashed Massie in 2020–calling him a “disaster” for America and Kentucky and saying he should be thrown out of the GOP entirely—but Massie easily swatted that away and won 81-19, so you can’t say he only lost because of Trump. He went toe-to-toe with Trump on COVID in 2020 and won overwhelmingly. Massie lost because he went from being perceived as a quirky but lovable nerd who seemed to genuinely believe everything he said, to looking like a clout-chasing influencer who cared more about getting TV time with Democrats on an issue he clearly never cared about until five minutes ago than he did about representing his voters. We’ll never know what caused the apparent personality change—maybe it was the death of his wife, maybe it was the McCarthy race followed by McCarthy’s ouster, or maybe it was a desire for notoriety or media acclaim and a lucrative podcasting career outside of Congress—but the drastic change was undeniable, as was the seeming lack of interest in much of anything happening in Kentucky. Blame Trump, blame Israel, blame Epstein, blame the tragic death of a spouse, I don’t care. But you cannot just wave away 2020 Massie going face-to-face with the Trump machine and winning in a rout only to get smoked six years later. Massie’s voters didn’t really change all that much, but he did, and they noticed.

Thomas Massie is DONE. Massie voted against tax cuts. Against the wall. Against ICE. Against deportations. Against the President’s agenda. Massie’s constituents elected Trump by a 40 point margin! Massie betrayed them. Tonight, Kentucky fired Massie for it. MAGA wins. The end

Win or lose, this man has more balls than 99% of congress. He stood up for Epstein's victims, and I hope his district stands up for him. #Massie

Here's what the numbers say: Ohio has been aggressively fighting Medicaid fraud for more than 15 years. Starting when I was Ohio's attorney general to my time as governor - Ohio has secured more than 2,200 criminal convictions and recovered more than $644 million in taxpayer dollars. The new initiatives I announced last week to fight fraud, waste, and abuse in Ohio's Medicaid system will support the strong framework Ohio already has in place to hold criminals accountable.

When you get together with other career politicians do you ever talk about how much money is enough? How many pockets need to be lined? How many elected officials are in on the theft? Obviously there is no fear as a politician that you would ever be held to account. Let alone arrested and charged.

Do you think Lauren Boebert @laurenboebert is going to give Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie a hand job at a Kentucky movie theatre tonight? I’m just asking questions.
Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer

NEW: Congresswoman Lauren Boebert @laurenboebert will be backstabbing President Trump tonight while she is campaigning with Thomas Massie @RepThomasMassie in Kentucky. Making Boebert’s betrayal even more disgusting is the fact that on May 5th, Boebert was featured in the @nytimes in a spread about how she is taking on male members of Congress who are sexually inappropriate with young female staffers in Congress. She even posted the following to her X account in March: “To all the members of Congress that voted today to continue to conceal Congress’s sexual harassment slush fund, go home and tell your daughters what you’ve done.” In May, Boebert appeared in the New York Times, where she advertised being a resource for staffers on the Hill who are being sexually assaulted or harassed by their powerful bosses . Source: nytimes.com/2026/05/02/us/… Despite her big talk, Boebert is still choosing to appear in Kentucky with Massie, an individual who has been accused by Cynthia West @Cyntaxed007 of dating her, helping her obtain a congressional job, and then being the force behind her firing by @RepSpartz when Cynthia no longer wanted to date or have sex with Massie. Massie has been accused of the exact same behavior Boebert claims to be fighting against. Yet, she won’t stand with Massie’s accuser, Cynthia West… Isn’t that strange? Seems to me like Lauren Boebert is full of shit. But, I think we have all known that for a long time. RECEIPTS 👇🏻

The taxpayer is not a piggy bank to be bilked. We will comprehensively review Ohio’s $40BN+ Medicaid expenditures and aggressively prosecute illegal abuses of the program. That starts in early 2027 & we won’t hold back.

@CaseyPutsch It's obviously just a dog-whistle to dehumanize minorities, it's borderline a thought ending cliche. And besides, a smatt white person would be in a lab or starting a business, not fighting black people online (and white people wonder why minorities hate them)

$5 gasoline and $6 diesel is not a success story for America's families. It’s really gouging them. We need to stop the war on Iran and help America's families afford living in this country again.

Former regional director for the Putsch campaign here. This man lied to every voter he had and every member of the campaign staff. We had two emergency meetings with Casey, both times because things were falling apart with the team. During the first meeting, he cussed me out and finally admitted to what we all suspected. He told us he “had no intention of winning.” He didn't want to. The second, he doubled down, and that's when most of the campaign left. They continued to collect donor money and in good conscience I couldn't side with that. Everyday Americans gave their hard earned dollars to a candidate that didn't want to win. Late in the campaign he told us the only way he would take our opinions into consideration was if we had ever had more social media reach then him, which I did, which ticked him off even more. He cared about numbers more than votes. Hence the crash out which EVERY lead advised against. We were to "trust the process" because Casey was, in his own words, "smarter than all of us" and we "didn't have the experience he had” This campaign had $100,000+, nearly 1,000 volunteer sign ups, yet we were not allowed to use the resources. The Southeast, my district, outperformed every other part of the state. Why? Because I care about this movement. I can only imagine what we could have done had Casey wanted to win. I voted for Casey, but only because he wasn't Vivek.
