Thank you all for the kind words. Randy is doing really well. He’ll be in the hospital until early next week, then at a rehab facility for 10-14 days, so we can get him back to tip top shape.
If this had happened 5 years ago, I still would’ve had 73 returns I had to prepare in 5 days. I would’ve been a total stress case.
What I have now is 2 tax returns and 2 tax projections to do by next Wednesday. That’s nothing. It’s because we schedule every tax return and add a ton of cushion for unforeseen circumstances, like a stroke! I am so incredibly thankful we transformed our firm 3 years ago. 🙌🏻

@tax Can hardly wait to see how they plan to do this?

@CarenaAK @thecyrusjanssen @NomiaIqbal Yes I did read it. My greatest fear is that we as Americans are headed the same way. I fear the way we are being divided and how religious rhetoric is being used. Also the anti protest language coming from the right.
English

@CBiondolillo @thecyrusjanssen @NomiaIqbal Correct, which is why I posted my comment in the first place. Did you read the original post from @thecyrusjanssen? Iranian’s have tough choices ahead.
English

An Iranian man left this comment on my YouTube channel. This is without a doubt the single best explanation of the reality facing Iranian people today👇
"As an Iranian, I can tell you the situation is no longer just political—it's existential. We are trapped between two collapsing structures: one internal, one external. On one hand, we face a deeply dysfunctional government, led by the Supreme Leader and the Islamic Republic’s unelected institutions.
Decades of economic mismanagement, suppression of dissent, and brutal ideological control have alienated multiple generations. No one believes in reform anymore—because every attempt has either been co-opted or crushed. But here's the paradox: We are also terrified of regime collapse—because we've watched the aftermath of Western intervention in countries like Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Afghanistan. Each was promised freedom; each descended into chaos, civil war, or foreign occupation.
So no, we don't trust the U.S. or Israel. Not because we support our regime—but because we know how imperial powers treat ‘liberated’ nations in the Middle East.
Freedom, in their language, often means vacuum, fire, and permanent instability. Right now, many Iranians live with three truths at once: The Islamic Republic is morally and politically bankrupt. The alternatives offered by foreign actors are not liberation—they’re collapse.
A bad government is survivable. No government is not. We are not silent because we agree. We are cautious because we’ve learned—too well—what happens when superpowers decide to "help." In a sentence: Iran is a nation held hostage by its own regime, but haunted by the fate of its neighbors. We are stuck in a house we hate, surrounded by fires we fear more."

@CarenaAK @thecyrusjanssen @NomiaIqbal I think it takes uprising to bring the end of fascism. I am not sure that war from without provides the support needed to end fascism within.
English

@CBiondolillo @thecyrusjanssen @NomiaIqbal Your point is well taken. My point however, is that people must decide whether the cure (war/uprising) is worse than the disease (fascism/dictatorship). I was using WWII as an example, but I’m sure there are others, although perhaps not so large and historic.
English

@CarenaAK @thecyrusjanssen @NomiaIqbal My point is that western values are no longer held by all western leaders. At the end of WWII the western leaders were united in providing a better future for the world (at least that is what I was taught).
English

@thecyrusjanssen @NomiaIqbal A divided country is fertile ground for dictatorship to thrive. Is the cure worse than the disease? That is the question for the Iran’s people. From a westerner’s perspective, the fall of Europe’s dictators at the end of WWII freed millions of people and affirmed western values.

@IDdoITtheSAME @bsuecannon My cousin was on a health share option that went bankrupt a few months before she was eligible for Medicare.
English

This is why my husband and I switched to a health share option. A fraction of the price. They cover 100% after we spend $1k per incident (not per year). So if we got cancer we would pay $1k and they pay the rest of the treatment no matter how long it takes. We have free unlimited virtual care (which is so easy to use). Free mental health appointments. Discounts on prescriptions and many other benefits. They even support alternative medical options and you don’t have to go the traditional routes to get care.
English

For our group health insurance plan, our personal health insurance (me, my husband, and our 23-year-old son) insurance premiums increased from $1,835/month to $2,331/month, and insurance doesn't pay anything until we've paid $7,350 out of pocket per family member in one year. That means we have to pay $35,322 in one year before insurance pays anything for one family member. It also increased 22% for our employees, which will cost me and my husband/business partner more $$$. This is NOT affordable healthcare.
Will someone please remove "affordable" from the Affordable Care Act!!!! because that is a lie!
