@JonAlba Jon, c'mon now. Nobody in WWE is talking to Meltzer about AEW. 🤣 Meltzer clearly put this out so they can make it seem like it's just a rumor that WWE is spreading. He and Tony Khan are clearly panicking because of what @nicklopiccolo reported.

I really don't think any of this is that complicated. WWE higher-ups said it to Dave, knowing it could become public leverage (and who knows, they may think it is true). Tony used his platform to try to discredit it. It's not much more complicated than that.

This also brings up a great question: What are moments (not matches) in #AEW’s history that are truly considered “iconic?” - CM Punk’s debut - Sting’s retirement - All Out 2021’s closing segment (Adam Cole/Bryan Danielson’s debuts) - MJF’s “shoot” promo on Tony Khan Otherwise, I can’t come up with any moments that would be considered iconic, and definitely nothing that is on the level of moments from #WCW.
