@Bullsfans False. I disliked the pick from day one because he lacks skills as well as an NBA body. He was drafted purely based on the projection of what they hoped he would become.

There 3 reasons why a lot fans don’t like him:
1) He got picked ahead of Derik Queen.
2) He was picked as a Day 1 project. Fans are impatient (rightfully so), they don’t want another project like Patrick Williams was
3) AK made the pick

The negativity around Noa Essengue is very unfair.
He basically had a redshirt rookie season. Blame the coach if anything.
He averaged 23 PPG, 9 RPG, 50% FG in the G League. Rotation worthy.
If he turns out to be a bust, so be it. But why root against him from Day 1
