@CatholicCharm Like churches that require paying upwards of $2000 to have your wedding there. Do we not want people entering sacramental marriages?? Interestingly, most annulment processes are free.
Crazy requirements for access to sacraments (grace)? Sounds like charging an indulgence to me!

If the Catholic Church wants you to baptize your baby then parishes should probably be more welcoming to those babies. Filling out a baptism form and this is so rude 💀 we don’t have to take a class bc this isn’t our first rodeo but what do they expect first-time parents to do if they can’t bring their baby along with them especially if the child is still young and breast-fed? Absolutely crazy to me

Apparently if you convert to Catholicism after creating embryos via IVF, the Catholic church tells you it's more sinful to implant them than to let them die or keep them frozen forever. This is a wicked teaching. Utterly incompatible with the pro-life position.

Entirely correct. Rather than try to retcon Thanksgiving, Catholics should delight in the irony that the Pilgrims, who despised liturgical feasts as papist, ended up simply establishing their own liturgical feast because human nature demands liturgy and feasts.

proposed a regulation that would make public libraries move their books about sex (who are we kidding? It's always gay sex!) to a designated area.

I don’t feel qualified at all to comment on the Medicaid conversation but I will say, Anecdotally, I was on Medicaid after law school when I was pregnant with my first child before my job started. Even once we received insurance from work, Medicaid paid for EVERYTHING. 1/
