Good for you defending your sponsors, Clay. But sports betting is a pure loss for Ohio. Corrupts the game, and shifts billions of dollars out of state. If you, like all sports media, weren’t bought and paid for by the gambling industry, you’d actually cover the harms.

No online sports bets in Ohio is insane. Is it 1986? The result is twofold: 1. people will cross state lines to place sports bets, meaning tax dollars go to states that border Ohio instead of Ohio, or 2. even more people will go to offshores, which also crushes revenue.

Utah is also the #1 state for: – Volunteerism – Economic Outlook – Births to Married Mothers – Weekly Church Attendance – Donations to Charitable Causes Utah has the lowest childhood poverty rate in the country and the lowest rate of households receiving public assistance or SNAP benefits. For the fourth consecutive year, U.S. News and World Report has named it the best state in the nation. It’s reasonable to say that Utah is the greatest success story of the American experiment.

NEW: @HHSGov has issued new guidelines that set the stage for defunding Planned Parenthood. HHS issued a new notice of funding opportunity that prohibits family planning grantees from performing abortions. This is the first step toward reissuing the Protect Life Rule. The notice tells applicants how they can structure their programs in accordance with the rule.
