Extremely impressed with Piastri this year whenever he’s been on track. Last year Norris always looked faster and Oscar would always pull something out at the last second.
This year he seems to have genuine bags of speed and confidence in the car, and it’s showed whenever he’s been on track.
Whilst Norris has had his fair share of issues too, by the looks of it Piastri also just has innate speed in this McLaren.
I knew he’d adapt well and quickly given his history, but he’s done better than I expected.

Hasn’t had one full session yet, apart from one race and one sprint, yet he’s on his 3rd battery and faces penalties for any other battery used. CHANGE THE FUCKING CAR!

You know what might frustrate me the most? Coming out of both of the last 2 seasons, Lando was at his highest level of confidence and strength. He had proved to himself that he can do it. Commentators said left and right "We're going to see a new Lando Norris this year with how much confidence this has surely given him."
But both times, the new season almost immediately smacked him right in the face. He should have a weightless feeling right now as he starts the defense of his title, he should be able to own that confidence he's earned and move forward in his strength. Instead, once again, he has a car that's determined to knock the wind out of him and make the entire year so much harder.
He doesn't even need good luck to be on his side, he just needs bad luck to stop ramming into him every time he turns around.
