Kayden Morner led the charge for Central City Post 6 Seniors with a grand slam that drove in four runs, sealing an 11-4 victory over the ETC Knights Srs Black. Conner Erickson was impressive at the plate, going 3-for-4, while Oliver Herman struck out five and earned the win on the mound. The team showed remarkable patience with eight walks, racking up 11 hits in total. Next up, Central City Post 6 Seniors are scheduled to play at 6 PM tomorrow against either Norris or Wayne. It’s been nearly 50 years since the program has hung a championship banner, but this year’s Junior team set out in May with the dream of changing that. It takes five wins at state for them to accomplish the mission, and the Dream Team is now 40% of the way there. Tonight in Valley, they look to make it 60%, and we will be there to connect you with memories from the moments that shape the outcome of the game. Let’s go!

26th Win of the Season for Central City Post #6 Juniors! The Central City Post #6 Juniors triumphed over Lincoln Christian in the opening game of the Class B American Legion State Tournament, marking their 26th win of the season! They will face Crete tomorrow at 4 PM. In an impressive 8-0 victory over Brester Const Jr Legion 2024, the bottom of the lineup played a crucial role. Parker Zikmund, Martin Gonzalez, and Colter Lueders combined for four of the team’s seven hits, scoring five runs and driving in three. The team scored five runs in the fifth inning with key plays from Lueders, Zikmund, and Colbyn Peters. Conner Erickson earned the win, allowing only two hits and no runs over five innings. Congratulations to our Juniors on this fantastic win! Four more to go!
