@ccpquant Hi there. Does CCP Estimate have a Twitter account? I would be interested in getting a copy of the slides he used in his great presentation. I am the guy that's spent too much time on Eve who he mentioned :)
CCP Estimate presenting some awesome animated graphs. Plot twist: he’s my little brother! and I’ll have you know he was ransoming people in Amamake at age 11 #tweetfleet#evefanfest
In light of the discussion of changed social behavior and government action in #iceland I made this graph #rstats#ggplot2#COVID19 which among other things clearly shows a decline in the rate of overall deaths
@jorgianfloren I think the current system has been in place since 2016, there is historical data on it (e.g. eurovisionworld.com/eurovision) but I can't be arsed scraping it... life was easier when the only "scraping" I had to do was through SQL/hadoop :)
The disparity between Juries and Televoters in the #eurovision 2019 contest, and its effect on the final result seemed like a good opportunity to start tweeting graphs again! #eurovision2019#rstats
@drezil1985 PCA did a very good job there tbh, Belarus is clearly an outlier (the votes turned out to be invalidated) and you see expected patterns on the televoter-side. I can't see anything problematic with the Estonian outlier. Why would t-sne be better here?
Followup graph for @eurovision results. Here is the voting similarity of countries based on a PCA analysis of the votes of all countries that qualified. #rstats#eurovision
@hlynur@katrinat@bjarniben@gislimar Haha ok bróðir minn sagði mér frá þessum þræði, ég lurka svona 1x í mánuði max :) þetta hljómar vel, við getum spjallað við Bjarka hjá hafró sem sem var virkur í R-ísland, ekkert gerst þar síðan 2016 sýnist mér.
