BREAKING: SOUNDS OF SILENCE — Senate hearing goes deadly quiet as Trump’s federal judicial nominees REFUSE to admit third term is illegal. . Donald Trump is nominating people to lifetime federal judgeships who won't confirm that he can't run for a third term when they come before the Senate for their approval hearings. Let that sink in. Senator Chris Coons of Delaware asked what should be the easiest constitutional law question in American history at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week. He asked Trump's judicial nominees about the 22nd Amendment. The first nominee, John Marck, said that his career had been in criminal prosecution and that he hadn't had occasion to use that particular amendment. A federal judicial nominee. Unfamiliar with the 22nd Amendment. Seeking a lifetime appointment to interpret the Constitution. Another candidate eventually offered that it "deals with the two-term limitation." Correct. Gold star. Coons then asked the simple follow-up: is President Trump eligible to run for president again in 2028? Marck's response was a masterpiece of evasion: "Without considering all the facts and looking at everything, depending on what the situation is, this to me strikes as more of a hypothetical." Coons was patient. He walked Marck through it like a kindergarten teacher explaining why you can't eat paste. Has Trump been elected president twice? "President Trump has been certified the President of the United States two times." Is he eligible to run for a third term? "I would have to review the actual wording of it." A man seeking a lifetime federal judgeship needs to review the actual wording. Of the 22nd Amendment. Which is 61 words long. Coons then turned to the full panel and asked if anyone — anyone — was willing to simply state that the Constitution of the United States bars Trump from seeking a third term. A heartbreakingly long silence ensued. He asked again. Anyone willing to apply the Constitution by its plain language? More ominous silence. Nobody. Not one of Trump's judicial nominees would say out loud, under oath, in a Senate hearing, that the 22nd Amendment means what it plainly says. This isn't ignorance. These are lawyers. They know what the 22nd Amendment says. They know Trump has been talking openly about a third term. And they calculated — correctly, based on what happens to people who cross this president — that telling the constitutional truth was more dangerous than staying silent. The frightening thing is that these are the people who will be interpreting your rights for the next 30 years. Please like and share this post if you think federal judges should be willing to say the Constitution means what it says — even when the president doesn't want to hear it.

Peru investigates Russia’s recruitment of its citizens for the war in Ukraine. The Peruvian Prosecutor's Office has launched a preliminary investigation following numerous reports from families of missing relatives who traveled to the Russian Federation. According to their reports, people were lured by offers of high-paying civilian jobs -promising $2.6k to $4k per month and a $20k "welcome bonus.". However, upon arrival, they were sent directly to the front lines. Investigators are treating the case as potential crimes against human dignity, including aggravated human trafficking. Lawyers for the victims claim recruitment was carried out through international networks operating across Latin America. Documents were seized from those who arrived in Russia, after which they underwent brief military training and were deployed to combat zones. 8 deaths have been confirmed. Five Peruvians were wounded, and several others have not contacted their families for over two weeks. To date, Peru has successfully returned 18 citizens, with 9 more expected to return in the coming days.

‼️ ZELENSKYY ON A POSSIBLE MAY 9 DRONE ATTACK IN MOSCOW: Neither the U.S. nor Russia has reached out to Ukraine regarding a ceasefire, so Kyiv has no obligations. Talking about a ceasefire just so Russia can celebrate a holiday, after recent massive strikes on Ukraine and the deaths of civilians, is unfair and not serious. Ukrainians don't have any holidays. JOURNALIST: Did you discuss Fico's visit to Moscow for the parade? You said that Ukrainian drones will also fly there. Will they fly or not? Will the Ukrainian delegation fly? ZELENSKYY: Yeah right, our delegation, our strong (drone) delegation (laughing). Well, look, the Americans talked to the Russians about what could be there on May 9: ceasefire or non-ceasefire. No one officially contacted us, did not offer anything officially. Further, this is Russia's war against Ukraine. And so when they discussing a ceasefire between America and Russia, what kind of ceasefire do they have? It is important that our side knows what they are agreeing on. This is the second point. The third point: ceasefire for one day, and before that they are killing our people, well, to put it mildly, it’s just not fair. Well, today the city of Merefa, yesterday Dnipro. Dead, wounded, adults, children. Well, I’m sorry, but after something like this, they’re calling to stop missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities and communities just one day before their parade. They’ll just stop and say, “Hey, you know what? Let’s have a ceasefire for one day”. It’s just not serious. And all of it just to give them the opportunity to hold their holidays. Well, we (Ukrainians) don't have any holidays. We apologize because of Russia, because of their attacks. That is, to give them a holiday, and the morning after May 9th they will keep on killing us again. So we’ll see how it goes.

Even Shoigu makes putin tremble. Reports from CNN, the Financial Times, and the investigative outlet Vazhnye Istorii (Important Stories) on May 4, 2026, state that a European intelligence agency has identified Sergei Shoigu as a "potential factor of destabilisation” in Russia. For decades, the Kremlin’s master of shadows has ruled through a toxic cocktail of fear and "loyalty" bought with stolen billions. But if the latest reports from CNN, the Financial Times, and European intelligence are any indication, the "loyalty" has evaporated, leaving only a terrified old man hiding in his Krasnodar bunkers. The most delicious irony? The man allegedly keeping putin awake at night is none other than his long-time fishing buddy and former Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu. According to Western intelligence, Shoigu is now viewed as a "potential factor of destabilisation”. Despite being shuffled off to the Security Council, Shoigu’s reach within the military command remains a thorn in putin’s side. The recent arrest of Shoigu’s right-hand man, Ruslan Tsalikov, wasn't just a corruption bust—it was a declaration of war against the old guard. putin has broken the "thieves' code" that protected the elite, and in doing so, he has turned his most loyal sycophants into desperate men with nothing left to lose. putin’s reaction is as predictable as it is pathetic: He is reportedly spending weeks sequestered in fortified holes in the ground, terrified of his own shadow. He has banned his inner circle from carrying internet-connected phones, fearing a drone-guided assassination. Staff must now clear two-tier security screenings just to breathe the same recycled air as the Russian dictator. This isn't the behavior of a confident statesman. It’s the frantic scrambling of a dictator who knows that in Russia, the transition of power rarely happens at the ballot box—it happens with a "sudden illness" or a quiet coup. Whether Shoigu has the spine to lead a putsch is almost irrelevant. What matters is that putin believes he does. The system he built on fear is now consuming its creator. The clock isn't just ticking for the Russian occupation of Ukraine. It’s ticking for the man in the bunker. And this time, his favorite general might be the one to wind the key.

🚨🇺🇸: The US national debt just surpassed our entire economy for the first time since we defeated Hitler. $31.27 trillion in debt. $31.22 trillion in GDP. The last time this happened we had just won a World War. This time we gave billionaires a tax cut and started a war with Iran. Never stop connecting the dots.

We are ALL FAILING this country. Donald Trump needs to be removed from office. He should have been removed before the war started. He is mentally unwell. Forget the Jesus pictures. Forget the Pope. We can go through hundreds of examples. The sane washing — pretending this is normal — that's just the surface problem. The real problem is that we have willing accomplices. What we have in America right now is a complete failure of political elites to execute on the constitutional system that was built specifically for this moment. We are all accomplices to this man's reckless behavior. -Every senator who stays quiet. -Every executive who writes the check. -Every commentator who normalizes it. He needs to be removed from office and he won't be.

The Kremlin is seriously fearing a military coup — Shoigu under suspicion According to Financial Times and Important Stories, security inside the Kremlin has been tightened amid Putin’s fears for his life. The Russian leader is reportedly worried about an elite conspiracy and even a possible drone attack. Since March, Putin has largely disappeared from public view. He is said to be staying in a bunker, fearing he could be removed by his own circle. He and his family have stopped appearing at their usual residences, while state media often airs pre-recorded footage. Communications in parts of Moscow are periodically jammed, and people close to him have reportedly been banned from using smartphones. Even kitchen staff and security are monitored through surveillance systems. Former defense minister Shoigu is being mentioned as a potential risk due to his influence within the military. Earlier, nearly all of Shoigu’s deputies came under investigation on corruption charges.

IGNATIUS: Putin is in corner. Things are not going well for him. What might he do to break out of this situation? His friend Trump is in the White House, and Europe is just beginning to rearm. Putin might think that now is the time to strike NATO. If he struck one of Baltic states and Trump did nothing, that would demonstrate to Europe and to the world that American promises to NATO aren't real. People are already beginning to suspect that, but this would make it clear. And Putin might seize this moment of uncertainty.

Today, Frankfurt, Germany. russian neo-Nazis are marching with the so-called “Immortal Regiment” — portraits, “grandfathers”, “victory”. While russians in Ukraine continue to commit daily war crimes against civilians, including children. This is not remembrance. It is glorification of mass murder. Germany, how is this allowed? Disgraceful. Unacceptable.
