What should have been a sacred celebration of achievement for the Class of 2026 descended into something straight from the pit of hell yesterday at the Curtis Culwell Center. Two grown men — supposed role models or family — turned the ceremony into a violent circus with punches flying, bodies slamming, and pure savagery unfolding right in front of graduates, parents, and children.
This isn’t just “drama.” It’s demonic. Selfish, prideful, evil behavior that stole joy from innocent kids who worked years for their moment. Families shattered what was meant to be a milestone of hope and pride. Security rushing in, kids watching in horror — how low have we sunk as a society?
This sad, godless display is becoming tragically common at graduations nationwide. Mesquite ISD and police are investigating, but no investigation fixes a culture that celebrates or excuses such darkness.
Our children deserve better. We deserve better. Turn from this foolishness before it destroys everything good left in our communities.
Praying for the students whose special day was ruined by this wickedness.
