We are in trouble. Literally almost zero recorded moisture this whole winter. No snowpack in the mountains. The south platte river is running about 20 feet of water. It’s looking to be a really long year.

Why would you disenfranchise people? Not everyone has a passport and some who don’t may not have the MONEY to get one. Not to mention the 80+ y/o that may not have a passport and don’t have anyone to help ! This also includes rural Americas regardless of age! Finally, millions of married women whose last name won’t match their birth certificate. Finally, the fact that it’s already illegal for undocumented people to vote! In the last election, there was .0003 case cases of voter fraud and those were on the Republican side!!!

Passage of the Department of Homeland Security funding package brings us closer to ending the reckless and harmful shutdown of DHS that Democrats triggered when they walked away from the bipartisan funding bill for the Department. That original bill contained new safeguards and oversight to protect the American public and our law enforcement, including additional funding for body-worn cameras and deescalation training. Over the past five weeks, Republicans have made repeated attempts to reach bipartisan consensus to reopen the Department. Republicans offered proposals to expand the use of body-worn cameras; limit civil immigration enforcement in sensitive areas such as schools and hospitals; increase oversight of detention facilities; and implement visible officer identification. While Republicans worked in good faith to try to reach agreement, Democrats remained intransigent and unreasonable with their list of demands. Congressional Democrats have done real damage to the appropriations process by repeatedly forcing government shutdowns and refusing to fund entire agencies. Their refusal to fund ICE and Border Patrol leaves our borders and our country less secure and sets a precedent that they may one day come to regret. Today’s action moves us closer to ending the disastrous shutdown at the Department, which has caused chaos at our airports, made us more vulnerable to cyber and terrorist attacks, delayed disaster response to communities in need, and caused thousands of hardworking federal employees to report to work with no guarantee of when they will be paid. Moving forward, I remain committed to ensuring adequate funding to secure our borders.

@yesnicksearcy In the end, biology wins the day. Male brains and physiology is different from female. Not in a bad way. But in a partnership. It is irrefutable.

Elon Musk just sent me a DM. Isn’t that so cool? Funny thing though, I would’ve thought someone that famous would have more than 43 followers.

@scottwestacre I was holding a calf on my lap in the passenger side trying to avoid kicks and head butts. Hubs—who was driving—said, “What is that?” and I looked up. Calf reared back and split my lip and bloodied my mouth. Alway something. Your post gave me a chuckle.

Not a traveler. 428-a is the smaller twin that first calf heifer left in field. We often pull the left behind or smaller twin or least favorite to become a bottle babe or occasionally adopted to a cow that looses calf. Climbed on everything, spilled my trash box and made mess🫤

@1Nicdar @20gtuohy So much has changed since KhoVid. I was skeptical of the medical community and their insistence on pills, surgery, and treatments for all ailments before 2020. Even more so now.

I usually keep my personal problems to myself, but these past 6 months or so, I’ve really been grouchy and on edge most of the time. Back in 1992 when I was only 32 years old, I was told that I had cancer in my right calf muscle. It’s a scary thing to be told something like that. I had surgery and 12 weeks of RAD therapy (no chemo), and 34 years later, I’m still kicking. Last October, my lab work indicated that there was a high probability that I have prostate cancer. They said I needed MRIs, I needed to see a urologist, and I needed to start taking the drug Flomax. Like I’ve said before, I don’t have health insurance so I have to pay for everything out of my own pocket. Being the independent jerk that I am, I was noncompliant, and decided to take matters into my own hands. I didn’t do anything the doctor suggested that I to do. In December, my lab work had improved, but they still wanted me to get checked, and again, I nixed that idea. Fast forward to today. I saw the doc this morning to go over my latest lab work, and she said everything looked good, and that I no longer needed an MRI or any other tests. The only bad thing is that my blood sugar is still a little high, so I’m gonna have to cut back on the sweets. I’m not gonna say what I’ve been doing, but I’m basically in the process of curing myself, and so far, it’s cost me about $75, and oh by the way, most nights, I’m sleeping through and don’t have to get up for a restroom break halfway through like I used to. I’m not asking for prayers or anything like that, even though they are appreciated, I’m just sharing my experience, so maybe y’all will understand what I’m currently dealing with. Love y’all, Peace! ✌🏼

“Lellow”, but my favorite, which my son said at 3 yrs old to another little girl at his Catholic pre-school, while at recess, was “cinnamon ditch”. The little girl went to the teacher and that’s how she said it - “cinnamon ditch”. The teacher figured out what he said and he was given time out. While in time out, he made up a story that the brown grass at the bottom of a small ditch near them looked like cinnamon. The teacher was very apologetic to me. That night, I asked my son about it. “I told Ms. Kim that I said “cinnamon ditch” but I really said “son of a bitch”. 34 years later and we all still say it.

@Mr_Husky1 67 years ago, my brother asked to turn the “furniture” up because he was cold. Mom turned the furnace up. We still say “finners” for fingers after 44 years ago.
