If you have ever wondered about govt grants to academia, @smsaideman does an excellent summary in his latest blog.
Key points:
Not easy to get, managed w/#integrity & highly scrutinized to ensure grant used ethically.
Hope this helps @Navyfiremom@canada_zebra@cdnpao@CDN_PAO
After some intensive therapy sessions, I am somewhat back. The unrest in our MST community communicated through Twitter has been very distressing and I have search for a way to help relieve it.

@INJ_20K "[Pugliese] chose to ignore many of Mriya’s written answers to his questions that did not fit his agenda."
Confirms the impression I had of his "reporting".
@OttawaCitizen clearly knows and is fine with it.
"[Pugliese] criticizes anyone who is too close to the military. I get that, but he is very close to the military too. Not the institution but to those in it. Where else does he get his leaks? So, he is very dependent on those folks. Does that make his reporting problematic?"
@CaptSamME@davidpugliese Definitely some questionable articles that come off neither balanced nor fair. Some even seem to veer into a personal agenda sort of vibe.
@smsaideman Well said @smsaideman !
I also find the majority of @davidpugliese articles informative and thought provoking. But those minority ones that call for attacks on grassroots movements & the academics that try to partner with them are a puzzle to me as a bit of research illuminates.
@RoubleDestroyer@smsaideman@davidpugliese He blocks everyone who disagrees with him. Perhaps his ego is just too fragile to tolerate dissent. That, and he doesn't seem to have the ability to engage in grownup conversation. Like a tiny, tiny little Trump.
@CDN_PAO You have been diagnosing and gaslightingin many of your Tweets. I have not mass emailed anyone, clearly, I am not who you think I am. First rule of advocacy should be "do no harm". Make things better better, not worse for those you claim to help. INJ20K failed at that.
For a guy who spends so much time writing about the CAF, he sure doesn't seem to understand the difference between the military (an institution) and "Canadian Forces [sic] personnel and their families".
😂
@OttawaCitizen
@cdnpao Still on perma-send 😂
You know nothing about me, so your armchair diagnoses say everything about you. Makes sense coming from someone who sends mass emails full of lies about people you're jealous of. If that's not bullying...
Have a drama filled weekend 👋
@CDN_PAO After serving in Afstan and in the fight against ISIS, I have an intense dislike of bullies. Also, I'm not a fan of narcissists, so no, not really gonna listen to you. But you are welcome to quietly fade away and stop hurting people with your faux expertise and bullying
@CDN_PAO@OttawaCitizen You copy my Twitter handle and call me desperate... You are a clueless wonder. I am exposing wrongdoing, no desperation in that. Desperate are those with something to hide. If the Chateau is no big deal, INJ20K will talk about it right?
@cdnpao@INJ_20K I'm good here, nothing to dig for. Just commenting on how your digging comes across to a casual observer.
It would be funny if it wasn't so sad and detrimental to the so-called "community" of survivors out there just trying to heal. Your drama helps no one.
@cdnpao@OttawaCitizen The institution has been served by that belief at the cost of thousands of survivors. You appear to have a decent grasp of this already.
@CDN_PAO@OttawaCitizen Okay, explain it to us in more detail. This notion of the military as a national institution is what leads people to suppress truths about inappropriate behavior. They believe the institution must be protected more than any individual who has been sexually harassed or assaulted
