@NJSimmondsbooks That's a terrible analogy. Marathons are about raw effort. Writing is more than that, Isn't it? Using a calculator doesn't make anyone a mathematician either.

I wanted to run the London Marathon but training takes too long and is too hard as a pudgy 47yo woman, so I got an Uber to the finish line. It's not fair that athletic people get to gatekeep long-distance running. I'm still a Marathon runner! This is what AI 'writers' sound like

It might be because he is of my grandparents generation (who are no longer with us) but I sometimes feel that he is one of the last proper grown ups around. The rest of us are just pretending. He is an amazing human!

These are tough results for Labour. There’s no sugarcoating it. We’ve lost brilliant Labour representatives who’ve stood up for their communities. People are still frustrated. Their lives aren’t changing fast enough. We haven’t offered enough hope or optimism for the future. I was elected to change this country - tough days like this don’t weaken my determination to do that. They strengthen it.

I wrote an entire novel whilst juggling a full time degree, beta-reading 10+ books for mutuals, and two chronic health conditions and not once have I touched generative AI, there is no fucking excuse
