@cjsnowdon We are lucky to live on an island at a high latitude with a moderate climate. We’re not set up well for high temperatures now but we could adapt. Short term - people less lucky than yourself are suffering. Long term - none of us will be immune from global instability. But enjoy.

@doctor_oxford @caitlinmoran After two births, a coil and other gynae exams, the kind concern about whether I was suffering any cramping pain during a colonoscopy (so minimal in comparison) felt confusing - as did the assumption that I would need sedation as well as gas and air. Something is awry.

Thank you @caitlinmoran for this. In no other branch of medicine are patients routinely left to scream in pain without being offered analgesia. That this happens time & again in O&G is a form of ugly, entrenched, medical misogyny. It needs to be called out. And fixed. Now.

Language training now at the stage of learning phrases like 'rules based international order' but also mixing up 'we went' and 'we ate' 🤷‍♂️

The UK is severely lagging behind. Wearing a face mask in an enclosed public space is an altruistic act for the most part. We shouldn’t like what that says about our society.
