More than three years later, justice remains elusive, while Javeria reports escalating harassment, intimidation, and surveillance in Pakistan. A Pakistani fact-finding team concluded that Arshad Sharif’s killing was pre-planned, and the Kenyan High Court declared it unlawful, yet no one has been held accountable. We call on authorities to ensure her safety, end the harassment, and deliver justice. No journalist or family member should live in fear for demanding accountability. It's been 3 years snd 3 months since I lost my brave investigative journalist husband, Arshad Sharif, and I'm still fighting for justice in Pakistan and Kenya. As a journalist, it's not easy to keep going without spouse, facing harassment and in battle for justice, but I'm grateful for the unwavering support of my country fellows, local journalists unions, lawyers, social media users and international media community. The PFUJ President Rana Muhammad Azeem condemned the harassment of journalist Javeria Siddique, widow of slain journalist Arshad Sharif, by unidentified miscreants shouting threatening slogans outside her residence. The PFUJ expressed solidarity with Javeria Siddique and urged government and law enforcement agencies to investigate the harassment, bring culprits to justice, and provide protection to her and her family.
