This magpie is stealing a duck egg! When I came upon the scene, the magpie had already rolled the egg two metres away from the @surreydocksfarm duck enclosure - over cobbles. I don't know where the magpie was planning to take it, but I intervened and recovered the egg...

Our first beehive! Savo, our master beekeeper friend taught the sisters what to look for while inspecting the hive. Once our 8 lime trees are in flower the bees will become very active. I shall be harvesting the honey when ready. What to call it? Carmelite Honey or Trinity Honey?

#100daysofpractice Season 6, day 44. Did a lot of cross training today, listening to Bach organ fugues and thinking about form. I kept practice low exertion, but I experimented with the concepts of holding space, sarabande, and structure vs freedom (notes made up in the moment).

After approx 100000000 hrs of practice, Katherine Spencer (Principal clarinet) and Chris Rawley (French bassoon) want you to hear the really difficult bits they have to play in our Saint-Saëns concert this Thurs. Now you know they can play it in case it goes wrong on the night…
