If Hezbollah had flats in this block (unlikely in central Beirut but not impossible) why did the Israelis give everyone inside an hour to get out — including those they wanted to kill? And if there weren’t any Hezbollah people there, why destroy a building with dozens of civilians in it?

They are legally required to close for British Bank holidays, which are Christmas and Easter. I suppose that fully Islamic schools may close for Eid, however no British staff can work bank holidays, unless it’s a private school and they sign a special contract.

@Pete_Js @RupertLowe10 I think there is a school that is closing for two days tbh. But equally. As long as they’re using the allotted annual allowance of closing it doesn’t matter. Schools all have different terms dates for different reasons. That’s their prerogative.
