@SimpGanassi Tesco run on incredibly tight margins, so much so that most of their efforts are spent squeezing every penny out of their supply chain to increase profits. The adage in the industry is that Tesco is a £70bn procurement company that just happens to own supermarkets

Assuming the 4 billion figure is right (I haven’t checked it) that means each Tesco store makes about £850k a year or if you’d rather, £2,400 a day which… doesn’t sound like a lot considering the scale of their operations
