@DominikTornow Technically my definition is for event-sourced, but event driven is just event-sourcing without storing the events. Which isn’t really a good plan.

There's more. This has been a half-century war. This 4-tweet thread is the root of a tree of links that partially document what I have been calling "the victory of capital over labor" that began in the early 1970's. x.com/conways_law/st… cc:@Climate__Clock @JKSteinberger 1/3

@JKSteinberger The current assault on planet and people started with the Powell Memo. Everyone should read it—it's eye-opening. greenpeace.org/usa/democracy/…

What a smart and succinct answer. She’s not getting enough credit for forcefully articulating the progressive case for Biden. Such an important message and messenger.

"What do you say to a young progressive or an Arab-American who says to you, 'I just can't vote for Biden again after what he's enabled in Gaza.'? Listen to a detailed, thoughtful, & important answer to my Q from @AOC at the Zeteo launch. (Do try & actually listen & not assume!)

Republicans are so flabbergasted over their inability to connect with young voters it’s almost comical. You wanna know why they hate you and upwards of 90% of them will never vote for you @GOP? I’ll break it down for you (Thread)

1. I was the first lawyer here to advertise consumer bankruptcy in the newspaper. My perspective on student debt controversy comes after a journey most pundits simply never took. As long as I have practiced these loans have been non-dischargeable in bankruptcy. But the way they

@yoeight I was answering your question, not his. His take is a bit foolish, (and I'd hope simply controversial just to get attention.) I think planning for how to balance life and work is good, and let's work 80 hours a week until I'm rich at 60 is a recipe for a joyless empty life.

@CLCondron I agree with you but in this situation, would you consider falling in love in your twenties to be a hindrance to your career success? That's the point of contention I have with the initial tweet's author. I can see his point if making money is paramount though

@davidfowl Indeed, I created a correlation ID, which is a guid, that is either read from a request header or newed, then passed as part of message. This way you can trace the entire call stack.

Looking at some code written with MediatR and trying to track down the control flow of an event driven microservice... Tracking down causality in these systems that fire events asynchronously is a nightmare. Distributed systems need a callstack 😅

Oh, I have a definition, finally. A database will give you what you want. A broker will give you what it wants. A small, subtle difference…

Glass-Steagall This is a know problem with a known fix. Solid banking laws helped drive 50+ years of unprecedented growth and stability in the US. Repealing them simply brought back the chaos. That chaos makes a very few people very rich and leaves the rest of us with the bill
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

Executives at First Republic lobbied Congress for weaker regulations, loaded up on risk, cashed in with stock sales and imploded the bank. The former CEO owes their customers and the public an explanation for the second largest bank failure in US history. wsj.com/articles/sen-e…

Don't engage w/ climate deniers--it increases their twitter ranking in the current algorithm. Blocking them, on the other hand, lowers their twitter ranking. In fact, muting and then blocking is a very effective double whammy.

The success that @EventModeling and #eventsourcing enable is incredible. Please feel free to share this with others if they are not convinced that they can improve their projects this way. Thank you to Jason, Fran and others at @ShedSuite for an incredible journey together!
