@bekahj I took home Ec in school….it was required. I was bored to death in the class because I already knew EVERYTHING being taught. Because, you see, my Mom was a Home Ec teacher and had taught us all the essential information as we were growing up. 😁

@SteveLovesAmmo @matthewdmarsden @ScottPresler 6’5” if I remember correctly! Such an amazing young man, patriot!🇺🇸

@matthewdmarsden @ScottPresler He’s much taller than me. And that’s saying something lol

Rosella Purple tomatoes are not your bland grocery-store tomato.
They’re deep, dark, rich, and tart with that old-fashioned bite that actually reminds you tomatoes are supposed to have flavor.
A little sweet, a little smoky, a little sharp — basically the tomato equivalent of having a personality.
My husband is growing these and I do not like them. They have a bitter acidic taste to me.

@Ginger1159 I did something similar 3 yrs ago. Blower motor went out. HVAC company wanted $1800. I researched, ordered a motor on Amazon. Found video on YouTube on how to install the motor and installed it myself.

My son’s A/C went out last week when it in the ‘90’s so he called an HVAC company to come get an estimate. They said that the motor needed to be replaced and they quoted him $2,393. He went to Granger and bought one for $347 and installed it himself which saved his family $2,046. I’m so proud of him for that! Granger for the win! 💖😸

@davepl1968 My first car, a 1971 Toyota Corolla, had a manual choke. Worked very well in Minnesota winters.😁

Do you know what this is?
Growing up in the -40 winters, Dad drove a '68 GMC with a manual choke on the dash as pictured.
Every crisp winter morning, we'd unplug the block heater, fight with the unbendably cold extension cord, and then remove the Zenith TV blanket from the windshield that he had placed there the night before to prevent frost buildup. Easier than scraping.
When it was time to start the truck, you'd pump the accelerator twice to prime the carb. Then you'd pull the choke all the way out with your left hand to set it full rich.
Then you'd reach and crank the engine with the key, and as soon as it fired, you had to bump in the choke just a little way, lest you "choke" it too much and it stalls. Getting the perfect amount was a function of ambient temperature, humidity, and experience.
What you're actually doing is restricting air entry with a mechanical flap over the carb. This causes it to pull more fuel from the metering system and run richer, which is required when the engine is still cold.
Fancier trucks used bitmetal springs to automate the choke, but few things worked better than a manual setup when it absolutely, positively had to start.

@_Papa_Joe_ @BillGates Get a 5# bag of plain cornmeal. Put down fists full of cornmeal wherever you have ants. They carry it to their nests, eat it and die because they cannot digest corn. Safe around children and pets. I have used it for about 20 yrs now.
English

Any tips on ants? I've sprayed the Bug-B-Gone, which has worked for years, but we have them in our house. Yes, I've set the terro traps inside and out. But for some reason, these bastards seem like some @BillGates mfers...

@FlowersAgainst Our Michael’s store is so poorly stocked, in all departments, that it looks like it is about to go out of business. Has been this way for a few months.
