Terrible look for online sports gambling…
Individual States are poorly run by Governors and State Houses with very little financial acumen. So they run deficits or miss allocate capital and then turn to simple, superficial ways to generate revenues like sports gambling. Turns out it creates negative societal consequences.
In that way, Sports Gambling is equivalent to legalization of marijuana in its corrosiveness to a healthy, well functioning society.

What I still don't understand is the following:
Scientists and CEOs of the most important companies in the world say that:
-will cure all diseases in 5-10 years (Dario Amodei, Demis Hassabis, Masayoshi Son, Sam Altman)
- in 1-3 years we will see 10%-20% unemployment (Dario Amodei)
-robotics will take over blue-collar jobs in a few years (Tesla, Figure, Unitree)
And people will either
- don't believe it
- they don't care
- they deliberately ignore it
Folks, these statements are made by people who certainly have a lot more knowledge about how their unpublished AI models they are developing; have projections that they don't publish; an armada of highly paid scientists who only do research on these topics, in short: the smartest people in the world.
And the majority simply ignore this. I don't understand it. Even Barack Obama, the Pope and really every important person says that everything will change very soon, rapidly, radically. And most people don't care at all. I don't understand it.

Do you all realize how good we have it?
-Trump is cancelling WW3, while trying to reset global trade, and get rid of income tax.
-RFK Jr. is taking chemicals out of our food and combating big pharma.
-Tulsi is releasing files and catching leakers.
-Hegseth is reinstating service members who refused covid shots, and removing “wokeness” from our military.
-Kash/Bondi are rounding up violent criminals, gang members, Tesla terrorists, and more.
-Elon is almost finished building DOGE and is exposing hundreds of billions in government waste.
-The Trump administration officially declared COVID was a man-made pathogen, and that Fauci lied.
Anyone saying that “nothing is happening”, could not be more wrong. Trump is implementing his agenda, keeping his promises, and it has only been three months.
Just because certain things haven’t happened yet, doesn’t mean they are not being worked on.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Embrace the process.

My current best view:
Trump lets tariff reactions play out for a few weeks. Sees the trend of capitulations and is emboldened to keep going. He fields offers from everyone. Negotiates with no one.
Then brings everyone to MaL in a month or two and puts an offer on the table: Bretton Woods 2.0. It’s simpler and more effective to have one Grand Bargain than negotiate piecemeal with 80 countries+.
I am focused on figuring out what terms matter most for the MaL Accords. I have a few in mind which are obvious and would kingmake the US.
I don’t buy this whole “end of US hegemony”. This is the moment to go for the jugular and establish world order around America.
