A bit surprising to see former Ward 7 CM Yvette Alexander (on the left in this Insta story) speaking at a recent event for Janeese Lewis George. The pair isn’t exactly aligned on many issues: Alexander was a big Bowser/RFK booster, opposed same sex marriage for years, etc.

@AlexKomaDC No surprises here! CM Lewis-George supported RFK with an added bonus of making sure DC residents benefited from the deal. Ward 7 at that time was highly vocal in opposing same sex marriage, along with Ward 8, but the Bill passed. Love is Love has always been my personal view.

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter. I need y’all to think about and understand something. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims. There are countless Black victims that no one has even heard about, much less seen the public fight demanding answers and justice. Thanks in advance for caring.
