The weather was wet, but it didn’t put off our team of campaigners supporting our candidate for the Strawberry Ward by-election, Nic Hebson, this morning. Thanks to the residents who took time to chat with us about local issues in the area.

Electing a Mayor for #Cheshire & #Warrington will be a monumental change in our local governance. It *could* have a transformational impact, but with the wrong candidate or the wrong party in charge, it could be a bureaucratic, expensive flop. Ben is the right person for the job.

We do not take 'walking out' of a 'Full Council' meeting lightly. Our reasons are clear and set out in the statement below. @cwaclabour can't expect 'consensus' only on their terms.
