@SleeperRaptors Don't remember his exact name... something like Menge Bateer

@hoopshype This game doesn’t attribute Win share properly - any team with Tim Duncan should win 50 games irrespective of any other player on the team
English

Inspired by 82-0, we have put together this game we have called 73-9.
You have $100 million to spend on players to try to beat the 2015-16 Warriors.
It's a long shot, especially because you are constrained by money.
Shoot your shot, though!

@CaitlinKellyNYC @MikeBrice @CAEZMEH @mattbc I think you’re just looking for to blame the government in power
English

@EJL1984 @StatisticUrban Economy is trash there, might as well start making it so east coast and west coast are different host cities
English

@StatisticUrban Multiple countries hosting is probably going to be the standard now, and if the tournament is expanded to 64 teams, they won't care if up to 3-4 countries get the automatic spots for being hosts. That being said, no excuse for a future World Cup to not be in the UK/Ireland
English

Getting to be quite laborious, no?
If we want to go back to single-country hosts at any point, only a few countries on Earth could hold a tournament this large using FIFA's preferred stadium size.
The New York Times@nytimes
From @TheAthleticFC: Gianni Infantino said FIFA will examine expanding the World Cup by a further 16 nations to a 64-team tournament ahead of its next edition in 2030. The 2030 tournament will be spread across six nations and three continents. nyti.ms/4bjW73o

@TheRadicalDream @StatisticUrban Pretty sure Japan has huge stadiums
English

@StatisticUrban No one other than the U.S., Europe, Gulf nations, and maybe China would be part of the host rotation for a tournament of this scale. Just as FIFA intended.
English

@Underdog @martynziegler Trump called Infantino, and the rules vanished.
Pure, unadulterated corruption.
English

BREAKING: Of the 18 members on FIFA's disciplinary committee, the decision to lift Folarin Balogun's ban was taken by only 1 of the 18 - chairman Mohammad Al Kamali of UAE, per @martynziegler

@GoatBlasterMan @AllanSorensen There is some confusion online if debt servicing is included in profit calculations so I’d like that clarified before deciding on a winner @grok pull the latest info and explain
English

@supply_side_acc @0xErod @Nicocantor1 Thank you for stating so eloquently. This’ll make the final 4 more entertaining
English

Calling it in high stakes games makes that behavior much more rare in high stakes games which we will all appreciate. I can guarantee you every semi finalist is thinking twice about doing this BS. If players think they can get away with it just because it’s a big game, they will take every chance to push the limits.
English

Embolo must be feeling a world of guilt upon his shoulders today.
Switzerland were flying. They were creating chances. They were putting pressure on Argentina and Scaloni was struggling to find answers.
Then he flops, on a yellow. The only controversy is that the referee didn’t book him immediately. A bone-headed decision that sealed the fate of his country. Switzerland perhaps could’ve walked away with their greatest upset ever.
From this point on, the game changed entirely.
English

@0xErod @Nicocantor1 Fuck that flopping ruins soccer, this sends a message to all floppers to flop at their own peril - unless of course you enjoy watching bullshit sports
English

@Nicocantor1 Nonsense.
That was never a tactical foul, and it shouldn’t have been a yellow card.
The call should have been out of bounds to Argentina.
if you want to prevent flopping, call it every time it happens not just in high stakes matches where it completely changes outcome.

The right hand thrown into the air as he goes down is the tell. It was a flop and should never have been rewarded.
Absolutely gutted for Norway and their supporters. They won the respect of football fans around the world. Much love. 🇳🇴
CarefreeFC@RhysCarefree
You don’t fall like that unless you want to go down. Joke of a decision, Anderson has flopped and they’ve fallen for it. Haaland just making half a yard, you see that every corner.
English

@LfcNuel He didn’t even push him. Great flop - will continue the premise that soccer is a bitch ass sport
English

How was this goal given as a foul??
Haaland pushed the England players before the ball was played. Norway are being robbed!!!
WeAreCityzens🩵🩵🏳️@CitySkyBluees
FIFA is robbing Norway for England, no way that Haaland push is a foul
English

It's not by accident that Norway has become by far the most dominant sporting nation per capita
◼️No scorekeeping until 13
◼️No travel tournaments or youth national titles
◼️Athletes are encouraged to play multiple sports
◼️$400 million of yearly sports gambling profit is directly back into youth sports programs
