The efforts to speed up college baseball with a pitch clock have been consumed by challenges. Two challenges in one half inning of the Air Force and Fresno State game. Probably took ten minutes and both calls on the field were confirmed. Get rid of it. @NCAABaseball

@CarsonMartin_18 Great fit for Carson. He drew a lot of interest from coaches throughout the season and was very patient. He got it right with Culver-Stockton College. Can’t wait to see him on the field.

Since this has received some replies that say hustle isn't important I'll clarify. I might add...I take this personally. Hustle is what gave me an opportunity to play college baseball. Yes, sprinting to my position and back to the dugout got me seen. I was the only one doing it. The multiple D1s recruiting me actually said, "We saw this kid sprinting on and off the field and we figured we'd stay to see his at bat." This was at Coastal in '06. That game I hit a backside homer. Next weekend, coaches said same thing at Winthop and I went pull side jack. Of course you have to be able to play at a high level but the hustle shows heart, love for the game, effort, a desire to be there and compete. It turns heads and that's what you want. You want to gain attention. When you gain it then you run with it. Hustle made me an All American. Hustle made me an All Star at the Cape. Hustle got me drafted. Hustle has made my life what it is and I wouldn't change it for anything. Get out there and hustle.

Watching a HS game on Gamechanger and every infielder just walked out onto the field. Literally walked. Absolutely insane to me. How do you let this happen as a coach, parent, or teammate? Disgusting... Hustle is the easiest thing to do as a player and will set you a part from everyone else. Run on and off the field.

@coachzblair10 This has to be coached. This has to be detailed in the very first parent/player meeting. It’s the one thing that we can control and it takes zero talent. Get on and off the field or you don’t play. No exceptions.

"This team was one of the most unique teams I've had in 52 years. Never one argument amongst the players - impossible, summer and regular season. Not one potential fight or somebody getting upset at somebody. I've never seen that in my 52 years. They were just the greatest kids in the world. They wanted to win so badly. They were willing to do anything to try and win. I'll never have a team like this again with that type of attitude. I may have some good teams, but never, ever again with this type of attitude. Just incredible people and my heart breaks for them right now." - Rick Pitino on this year's St. John's team

“I will never go to a doctor ever again about my general health. They have no clue what they’re talking about and all they want to do is put you on pills.” Dana White said it bluntly — and his mother-in-law’s story shows exactly why. At nearly 80, she was on 14 different prescription pills, sounding drunk at 10 a.m., living in a constant mental fog, and staring at walls. Doctors kept switching medications without fixing anything. Because Dana had experienced his own dramatic health turnaround with Gary Brecka, he called him immediately. Brecka flew out over Memorial Day weekend, and together with his team, they focused on root causes. Months later, at her 80th birthday, she was dancing until midnight — clear, energetic, and fully present. A complete transformation. It’s a raw example of what can happen when someone who already saw real results steps in with a different approach. What stands out most to you — Dana’s strong rejection of the pill-for-everything model, the rapid change at almost 80, or how his personal success with Brecka led him to help his family?

Sometimes you find more than you bargained for when you go after the bad guys. FBI Denver, @DenverPolice @AuroraPD & other partners found nearly 100 pounds of meth & 5,000 fentanyl pills (plus heroin, cocaine, & a revolver) when we targeted a home over the weekend. THEN we found 200 pounds of meth in a storage unit (thanks, DPD K9 Moose). Together, we are crushing violent crime & getting dangerous drugs off the streets. Partnerships + Collaboration = Results

I played for this man for 3 years. He came to my wedding and traveled to watch me play in the big leagues many times. He gave me a D1 scholarship when no one else wanted a 5-11 175lb catcher from Florida. He meant more to me than any other coach I’ve ever played for, and that is saying a lot. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have had the mental toughness, mentality, or grit this game demands of you in order to play at this baseballs highest level. I have a quote I like to tell my players. “If you don’t like it, play better.” The game of baseball is strictly merit based. You have to earn it. Even at the youth level. Ages 12 and below, I’m good with everyone playing and learning the game. Above that age, then you have to earn your spot. There is a point where the player has to choice to work for it, or not. Puberty is the time that it generally happens in my opinion. As a side note, if your kid isn’t the best player when he’s 12, don’t panic. Development takes time, and once puberty hits, the physical change happens quick. RIP Coach Robe.
