It ships with: → Complete PCB designs and schematics → FPGA signal processing code → STM32 firmware → Python GUI with map integration → GPS/IMU integration → MIT license (100% free) 6.8k stars on GitHub already This is the kind of project defense contractors would charge you a fortune for. One dev just put it on GitHub.

@funkomi Most people with such assets don't claim state funded care, because it's grossly inadequate for their needs and taste. Going from a yatch to an understaffed council ran care home is enough to accelerate your decline.

@A_MrBenMitchell @timpitt100 Depends on the model. The PHEVs have between 30-85 miles. The normal Self Charging Hybrids usually 2 miles in EV Mode, then the battery quickly recharges again. Can stay in EV for longer going downhill. Warranty for up to 100,000 miles.

@timpitt100 What a stupid concept. That tiny battery is going to be destroyed after 3 years from cycling. Hybrids are so dumb unless you’re towing. Just carrying around all that extra complexity for nothing.

@_cogitation @funkomi Problem with overtaxing the rich is that they'll just move to a tax heaven or find creative ways of dodging it. And the country loses all that tax revenue. Instead of over taxing them, give them more incentive to spend more in the community and philanthropy.

@CO_Mekatech @funkomi No we don't. Tax burden on incomes is high but distorted. Richest 10% pay a lower percentage of their overall income in tax (39%) compared to the poorest 10% (48%). ~40% of gov spending is for over 65s. We don't tax wealth. The issue is structural - youtu.be/ZuXzvjBYW8A?si…

@_cogitation @funkomi We already pay one of the highest taxes in Europe. Has to be another way to find savings for the current retirees, before we get to the upcoming ones with proper pension funds. Asking people to let go of their homes is problematic for me.

@CO_Mekatech @funkomi Unfortunately that's not true at a cohort level. Currently 1 in 5 (~19%) aged 65+ and growing, population aged 85+ is expected to double and reach 3m+ by 2040s. That cohort has not contributed or saved nearly enough for care. Either we tax wealth or we tax capital. Choose.

@funkomi I am going to try my best to sort myself out via pensions and other investments... But the red line for me is assets. My hard earned assets are going to give the next generation a leg up.

The research behind this is wild. Your sperm carries a set of instructions that tell your genes when to turn on and off. A Duke University study found that THC rewrites those instructions. The more weed in your system, the bigger the changes. It goes straight for the genes your future embryo needs in its first week of life. I had to read the "day 3 crash" part twice. For the first three days after fertilization, an embryo runs entirely on the mother's DNA. Day 3, the father's genes switch on. If those genes carry cannabis damage, the embryo just stops growing. Fertility doctors see this happen in their labs: embryos that fertilized fine and looked healthy on day 2 go completely still by day 5. Boston University tracked 1,535 couples trying to have a baby. Men who smoked weed once a week or more doubled their partner's miscarriage risk. That number held up even when the woman herself never touched cannabis. And the miscarriages clustered in the first 8 weeks, right when the father's damaged DNA would be doing the most harm. Duke also found that the specific genes THC alters in sperm overlap with genes linked to autism. One of those genes, called DLGAP2, helps brain cells communicate with each other. It was changed in cannabis users' sperm. When researchers bred THC-exposed male rats and checked their offspring, the same altered gene pattern showed up in the pups' brains. The damage crossed a generation. Weed has gotten way stronger over the last 30 years. THC content was about 4% in the 1990s but nearly quadrupled to 15% by 2018, and modern dispensary strains regularly sit at 20-30%. Concentrates go up to 95%. Quitting for about 11 weeks (one full cycle of sperm production) reverses some of the DNA changes. Not all of them. Duke's lead researcher says men should stop at least 6 months before trying for a baby. Half of your kid's genetic blueprint comes from you, and right now, THC is editing that blueprint before conception even happens.

@Midatlblog This is partly wrong. The extreme left is for overtaking or turning left. After each overtake, you should return to the middle or extreme right. If the road ahead is empty, with no slow moving traffic, everybody should default to the extreme right.

Some driver education for Lagos people: 😅 please learn how to maintain your lane and understand the importance of road markings. Some of you need to go through an online driving school, because I don’t think you can even go to a physical one at this point,they have to bring the information to you. Lol But then again, the government should cut all these grasses and remove the old asphalt from here. They should do this thing excellently. It would even be better to use interlocking paving for the excess portions. I know the drainage is going to be done, but I don’t know when. They should try and implement these works fast. I understand it may take a few months, but it shouldn’t take this long. The sidewalks should be done by now. This road is going to get busier because there are so many events coming up. A lot of people will be around, and traffic will increase. This is the time to clean up, clear the debris, fix the sidewalks, and complete the drainage as promised. Also, the stretch from Phase 1 down to Bonny Camp needs rehabilitation. I heard it will be done, but now is the time to do it.
