@SwailesRuth @Sue_Cowley @joeb_EY (2/2) what about cohorts with ⬆️summer-born? + C19 and interruptions these chln also had. Lots of pressure atm, less freedom for T. to what they see it’s better for the chln. Ph1 is the whole Term1 in reception to me - but won’t be anymore now 😪

To worsen it the message across schools have been a big NO for mixed approaches, and when you look at schemes they start from Phase 2 (reception) including a big ask to start phonics sessions from week 2 onwards (Aut1). It can be so tricky to have those conversations

A ,comparatively, busy day today. I managed to glaze some pots I’d had ready for a while - I’ll switch the kiln on in the morning. Quite a few mouse/book mugs too. I’m in the stage in my chemotherapy treatment where the fatigue has lifted a bit- I haven’t got too much strength.
