Glad to release the book “The Voice of Justice: Justice Gavai Speaks” at Uprashtrapati Bhavan today. Addressing the gathering, I described the book as an important constitutional document reflecting judicial thought shaped by experience, constitutional discipline and public responsibility and said the judiciary occupies a vital place in preserving constitutional governance and safeguarding citizens' faith in the rule of law and added that constitutional governance must always remain responsive to the aspirations of ordinary citizens and evolving social realities. With the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant Ji, Hon’ble Judge, Supreme Court of India, Justice Vikram Nath Ji, respected former Chief Justice of India, Justice B.R. Gavai Ji , President and Editor of the Commonwealth Legal Education Association (C.L.E.A.), Prof. (Dr.) S. Sivakumar Ji and dignitaries.

Was briefed on the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and Sainik Schools by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri. Sanjay Seth Ji, along with senior officers of the Ministry of Defence today at Uprashtrapati Bhavan. Appreciating the NCC's contribution to nation-building, I described the Cadet Exchange Programme under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat as an excellent initiative for strengthening national integration and also lauded the NCC's community service initiatives, including Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and welcomed the establishment of the NCC Alumni Association. @SethSanjayMP

Today planted a sapling under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign during the unveiling of the statue of social reformer Mannathu Padmanabhan Ji and the inauguration of the Mannam Smrithi Mandapam at the Mannam International Centre, New Delhi. The plantation drive, organised by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, is part of the nationwide ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign promoting environmental conservation.

Addressing the gathering, l highlighted Mannathu Padmanabhan Ji’s lifelong commitment to social justice, equality, education and community service, and said that his ideals continue to inspire the nation’s journey towards an inclusive and harmonious society and appreciated the efforts of the Nair Service Society, Delhi, in preserving and carrying forward his legacy through the establishment of the Mannam Smrithi Mandapam. Very heartening to know about the successful repatriation of Tamil Nadu’s priceless antiquities from Australia, bringing these invaluable treasures back to their rightful home. Originally from historic temples in Tamil Nadu, these treasured artefacts, dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries, include a ceremonial bronze trident of Goddess Bhadrakali, a granite idol of Nandi, and a basalt sculpture of the six-headed Karthikeya. Their return marks another significant milestone in reclaiming and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage. The Government’s sustained efforts to bring our cultural treasures back to the country are truly commendable. Since 2014, there has been remarkable momentum in the repatriation of antiquities, with more than 600 such artefacts returned to India, a highly appreciable achievement in safeguarding our civilisational legacy reflecting a strong commitment to the vision of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi.” @PMOIndia @MinOfCultureGoI @MEAIndia @ASIGoI

Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan virtually addressed the inauguration of the Permanent Exhibition on Journey of Vande Mataram and the International Seminar on 'Sardar Patel’s Vision : Integration, Unification and Federalism', organised by the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla. The Vice President said that Vande Mataram transformed love for the motherland into a sacred national duty, inspiring generations of freedom fighters with courage, sacrifice and hope. Paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan said that Sardar Patel united not only territories but also the hearts of Indians, laying the foundation for one nation, one Constitution and one common destiny. Emphasising that patriotism must be reflected every day through honesty, excellence and unity of purpose, the Vice-President urged citizens to carry forward the timeless message of Vande Mataram and Sardar Patel’s enduring vision by renewing their commitment to a united, confident and inclusive India.

Attended and addressed the 15th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar today. Emphasising that “Scientific capability is not optional; it is foundational for Viksit Bharat,” science must guide policy and ensure sustainability in a rapidly changing world. Paying tribute to Dr. Homi Bhabha Ji, I recalled that his demise was a major setback for India’s atomic research and observed that India emerged stronger from that tragedy and today stands among the world’s leading nations in atomic research. Expressing confidence in the graduating students, I said many of them would go on to become future Dr. Homi Bhabhas and make significant contributions to India’s scientific and technological advancement.

Today launched the national programme for issuance of Letters of Authorisation (LoAs) for Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries in the High Seas at Bhubaneswar. On the occasion, also launched the Odisha Deep Sea Fishing Mission Document and presented Letters of Authorisation (LoAs) for High Seas Fishing to ten Fish Farmer Producer Organisations (FPPOs) and fishermen from across the country. Addressing the gathering, I said that the initiative marks the beginning of a new chapter in India’s maritime journey by enabling Indian fishermen to sustainably harness the vast potential of the country’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and the High Seas.

It is encouraging to see that over 230,000 students of the University of Delhi have come together to take the pledge for a drug free campus, reflecting their commitment to creating a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous India. Today was briefed on the Mission for Cotton Productivity (Kapas Kanti) by Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare and Rural Development Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan Ji and senior officials of the Ministries of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare and Textiles at Uprashtrapati Bhavan. Paid floral tributes to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee at the Uprashtrapati Bhawan today on his 125th birth anniversary. A distinguished educationist, visionary statesman and nation-builder, Dr. Mookerjee left an enduring imprint on India’s educational, political and democratic journey. As one of the youngest Vice-Chancellors of the University of Calcutta, a member of the Constituent Assembly, President of the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha, Independent India’s first Minister for Industry and Supply, and founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, he rendered exceptional service to the nation. A steadfast champion of national unity and integrity, he made the supreme sacrifice in Jammu & Kashmir while striving for its full integration with Bharat. His life and ideals continue to inspire generations in the collective endeavour to build a strong, united, self-reliant and developed India.

While submitting his duly filled enumeration form under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Delhi, Vice President Shri C. P.
