The bullshit in Core reminds me of the naive celebration of the First Amendment with regard to holding the powerful accountable. The reality is the media is completely captured and a mouthpiece for the government and truth has to be garnered elsewhere. The ignorant perspective that Core being open source somehow disqualifies it from ever being able to subvert Bitcoin is just as unfathomable to anyone prepared to be honest with themselves.

I see some people who are posting about giving up on #Bitcoin if BIP110 doesn't get meaningful activation. As long as the block limit stays in place, block times arent changed, 21M cap isn't removed, we don't go to proof of stake or some other similar nonsense, I will be staying all in on Bitcoin. Spamming the blockchain is a problem, a serious one. Spam and arbitrary data worsens centralization pressures on nodes, creates blockspace competition against monetary transactions, causes mission creep away from Bitcoin's monetary focus, produces social pressures on node runners with some of the disturbing data that has been added to the blockchain and accommodated by @bitcoincoreorg, and generally increases the attack vectors against Bitcoin. However, Bitcoin is our only chance to separate money and State. There won't be another opportunity like this. Big brother knows what to look for now and they will not let a nascent technology emerge like Bitcoin did. I implore Bitcoiners to take these threats seriously. Run @BitcoinKnots, signal BIP110, put some hashpower behind your node, use your node for your transactions, support a circular Bitcoin economy through spend and replace whenever possible. Even if BIP110 fails I'll still be here fighting for Bitcoin because there is no greater fight for humanity's future on this Earth.
