A timely meeting by @NRGInstitute to understand Uganda's Methane Emission abatement strategy in the oil and Gas sector. Methane is the second most important greenhouse gas contributor after carbon dioxide, &requires particular attention for sustainability. #MethaneEmissions

Approaches to methane emissions mitigation include; -Establishing Leak Detection and Repair(LDAR) system -provision of vapour recovery units for storage tanks -Optimising the efficiency of combustion devices -Gas utilisation measures or installing high-efficiency flares, etc
