The Ministry of Heavy Industries is accelerating the development of a robust EV public charging infrastructure ecosystem under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme with an outlay of ₹2,000 crore for Electric Vehicle Public Charging Stations across the country. An amount of ₹503.86 crore has been approved for the deployment of 4,874 EV public chargers across various States and CPSEs to strengthen India’s EV charging infrastructure network, reduce range anxiety among EV users, and support seamless adoption of electric mobility nationwide. Following the historic 2025 amendments to the ORD Act & PNG Rules, the Government has rationalised royalty rates & methodologies for Crude Oil, Natural Gas, and Casing Head Condensate.
