Many people have asked me why Morpho has not been more aggressive in positioning our model against existing ones over the past month. Recent events have made the case for Morpho obvious: permissionless, isolated lending markets are the only architecture that can scale onchain finance safely. That said, crypto sadly has a reputation of being brutal, toxic, and full of grave dancing. But this is not us. It’s not the brand we want to build with Morpho. Nor is it the impression we want people to have of crypto. A brand is defined by the actions you take, in the eyes of the people who matter most to you. And most people who matter to us already understand why Morpho is different… and if they did not, we explained in private, not on twitter. We have deep confidence in ourselves, model, and our mission. We don't need to tear others down to prove it.

when we were at facebook, we believed that at some point in the future, most of the transactions on the internet would not be done by humans they would be done by machines that conviction shaped every architectural decision behind sui we built sui for the world we knew was coming a world where machines will be the primary economic actors on the internet and that world is no longer a forecast. it is unfolding right in front of us the internet has reached a tipping point where automated activity, supercharged by AI, now outpaces human interaction non-human traffic now accounts for more than 50% of all global web activity and you can see humans using agentic workflows more and more in their daily lives in the next years, that trend is going to grow exponentially and the volume of financial transactions executed by agents is also going to grow exponentially with it each agentic workload will be running multiple thousand economic transactions a second and this is going to be orders of magnitude higher than what human wallets do today the L1s optimized for human usage patterns, human attention, human accounts, and human patience cannot adapt to where this is going i have always said this if it is not in the foundation, you cannot patch your way to it later and rn, no other L1 has the foundation sui has this is why agentic apps like @0xbeepit, @audricai, @WaterX_app are choosing sui and this is just a start. more agentic apps will keep landing on sui because agents are optimizers. they will always route through the fastest, cheapest path on the internet and that path is sui we believed it at facebook. we believe it more today than we ever did the agentic economy is inevitable. and it will run on @SuiNetwork

Sui is embedding private transactions directly into its base protocol in 2026. No opt-in required. No separate privacy layer. Transaction details visible only to sender and receiver, by default. Mysten Labs CPO Adeniyi Abiodun put it bluntly: "It's impossible to get mass global consumer adoption for anything payments related without privacy." Most chains bolt privacy on as an afterthought. Sui is making it a first-class primitive that every developer can build on. Institutional adoption of on-chain payments has always hit the same wall: competitors can see your flows in real time. That wall is coming down.

I honestly respect the fact Morpho people have not been dunking on Aave nearly as much as AAVE ppl dunked on Morpho when Morpho was having issues

Morpho Midnight is by far the hardest and most ambitious thing I have ever built in my life. We started more than 1.5 years ago and did so many iterations, and bootcamps with the protocol team. It has been years since DeFi saw a true 0-to-1 innovation in protocol design. I believe Midnight is not only the next one, but the largest fundamental unlock DeFi has ever seen, especially if you are an institution. Can't wait to share more when audits finish.

Morpho's fixed rate protocol now has a name: Morpho Midnight. Morpho Midnight is not an iteration of Morpho Blue. It is a completely new paradigm for onchain lending, and should not be considered a "V2" of Blue. Blue = pool-based open term variable markets with externalized risk management. Midnight = intent-based fixed term fixed rate markets with externalized risk AND rate management. The two will coexist, complementing one another to extend the capabilities of the Morpho network. We’ll start sharing more updates on Midnight as audits finalize.
